Privacy Policy

How NRGPAL collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information.

PRE-LAUNCH REVIEW REQUIRED. This policy has been rewritten to reflect how the new website actually handles data, including CRM and installer disclosure. It must be reviewed by NRGPAL’s Australian legal adviser before launch. Items in braces are still outstanding.

Last updated 15 September 2026.

1. Who we are

This policy applies to NRGPAL PTY LTD (ABN 43 637 383 316), referred to as NRGPAL, we or us. We supply and install solar, battery storage, EV charging and air conditioning systems, and assist customers with applicable government rebate and discount programs.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and some information automatically when you use this website.

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, installation address, postcode and property details; ownership status and property type; system and product preferences; and, where you ask us to assess a rebate, eligibility information such as household income band, prior rebate history and existing system details.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring site and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.

We collect eligibility information only because government programs require it to be assessed. You do not have to provide it, but without it we cannot tell you what you may qualify for.

3. Why we collect it and how we use it

By submitting a form on this site, you consent to NRGPAL collecting and using your personal information to assess your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange an installation assessment and administer any applicable rebate or discount.

We also use it to respond to your questions, to meet our obligations under government programs and Australian law, and — only if you have separately agreed — to send you marketing communications.

4. Who we disclose it to

Your information may be shared with NRGPAL’s authorised installers, accredited rebate providers and service partners where necessary to process your enquiry, quotation, installation or rebate.

Specifically, we may disclose your personal information to:

  • our authorised installers and subcontractors, to carry out a site assessment or installation;
  • accredited providers and government program administrators, including Solar Victoria, the administrators of the Victorian Energy Upgrades program and the Clean Energy Regulator, where a rebate or discount is being assessed or claimed;
  • our customer relationship management and marketing platform, which stores enquiry and contact records on our behalf;
  • our electricity distribution network contacts, where a grid connection application is required;
  • professional advisers, insurers and regulators, where we are required or permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers we use to store and manage customer records operate outside Australia, which means your information may be stored or accessed overseas. {{OVERSEAS_DISCLOSURE — confirm the CRM and hosting providers used, and the countries in which they store data, then name them here. Required by APP 8.}}

6. Marketing and how to opt out

Marketing consent is separate from your enquiry. We ask for it on a distinct, unticked checkbox, and declining it does not affect your quote or your eligibility for any program.

If you have agreed to marketing, you can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message we send, or by contacting us using the details below. We will action it promptly.

7. Cookies

This website uses cookies to keep the site working correctly, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not function properly if you do.

8. How we keep it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. That includes access controls on our systems and agreements with the providers who handle data for us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our obligations under government programs, tax law and the Australian Consumer Law. {{RETENTION_PERIOD — confirm the retention period for rebate and installation records with the accredited provider, then state it here.}}

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, and will tell you if we cannot give access and why.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
